Direct Energy offers a variety of bill payment options such as Auto Pay and Average Billing.

You can also make payments via our 24-hour automated phone system. call the Customer Care line at 1-866-374-6299 .

The Government of Alberta also provides assistance programs which are listed here.

You may cancel or change your automatic bank withdrawl payment provided that Direct Energy receives at least 10 days written notice prior to the next scheduled debit.

You may obtain a sample cancellation form, or more information about cancelling your bank draft agreement at your financial institution or online here. We'll do the rest. You can also cancel your payment through your Online Account when you click into "Manage Payments."

Additionally, you can conveniently cancel your Auto Pay online by accessing the Auto Pay page under the 'Payment information' ribbon. After accessing the Auto Pay page, simply choose the account you would like to cancel the plan for, accept the 'Terms and conditions', and then click 'Cancel this Auto Pay now.'

Typically, a billing cycle is approximately 27 to 35 days depending on the month and on the timeframe in which Direct Energy receives meter reads from your distributor.

The length of your billing cycle may vary slightly each month. Typically a billing cycle for customers are 28-35 days.

It is not possible to create a Payment Extension online for a final bill. If you need assistance, contact our Direct Energy Customer Care line at 1-866-374-6299 for more information.
